Day 13.16

Though it all seems quite green as one looks out across the plain, it is really just an illusion. The ground beneath one’s feet is mainly sand and rock. It is studded with low tufts of brownish purple grass and small silvery shrubs, with plenty of room between.

The dark green trees in the distance make a nice contrast to the grassy plain in the late afternoon sun. Balladonia (“Not Biddleonia.” we joke with Chewie.) is 100km ahead.

‘a nice contrast’
