Day 13.13

Cocklebiddy is known for its deep caves. Indeed a world record had been set here for the deepest dive, I’m told. And just as we are about to reach it another two men, Mark and Khurt, are walking merrily along the road. Also walking around Australia for charity. They are wearing very bright hats, easily seen from a long way off, of yellow and orange, respectively. These guys are doing it for Cystic Fibrosis. “Thanks for stopping. You can donate on the website.” Unlike Nat, they have a support vehicle that travels with them, so they don’t have to cart everything, just walk. We have a short chat. They too have heard of Nat. They look back expectantly, perhaps in the hope of seeing him, when told we’ve just past him some way back. They too think he’s amazing. “He’s got a long way to go.” we all agree.
