Day 13.06

From the distance it looked like a flock of white cockatoos on the dead tree. On closer inspection, however, the best way to describe it is ‘Aussie Outback Sculpture’. A tribute perhaps, to thirsty travelers in this ‘neck of the woods’. Chewie adds our contribution. An artistic way to ‘dispose of empty bottles thoughtfully’. “Hundreds of miles away from anything (well practically), there’s a dead tree. On it hang empty…” Chewie didn’t finish his sentence. “Oh look! There’s another one! Awesome. It’s got shoes and thongs hanging of it. And look! Another one with socks! How cool! You never know what you’ll find out in the outback. Funny stuff! And it’s a piece of living art.” It is a true tribute to the things one needs most to survive in this harsh land, especially a larikan sense of humour.
