Day 17.11

We decide to get a closer look. We drive a little further on in the hope of finding that rocky outcrop we saw in the distance. The unsealed road turns into a track that even 4 wheel drives would think twice about going down, so we continue on foot for some distance. We get pretty close, but the morning exercise we undertook has left our feet tired and our sore legs convince us to turn back. But not before we explore some more. Besides the beauty of the rocky terrain, the budding flowers and the flowering bushes we find some of the local inhabitants. These are the biggest ants that I have ever seen. Best not disturb them. They look positively nasty.

The original 'Dundas Rocks', south of the Dundas township and definitely not accessable by road.
The road turned into a narrow track.
Bull ants ! Not to be messed with.
At up to an inch in length they can leave a nasty bite as I remember not so fondly.
